galería elba benítez opened in 1990, in the same venue it is now, almost 20 years later. Since then, it has been its main goal to promote contemporary art in Spain with a special interest in making Spanish and foreign artists known internationally. The range of works the gallery deals with is focused on new tendencies, especially photography, video and installations. During those years it has specialized in producing and showing site-specific installations. Along the traditional activities of a contemporary art gallery, galería elba benítez is presently actively involved in the design and management of other projects, all targeted to propose other ways of materializing the work of the artists within other disciplines, with other mediums, and in collaboration with public or private institutions.
